Japanese Diet
You have to stay on this diet for 13 days. You can drink as much water as you want. You should not use any salt or sugar. For best results do not change or substitute anything. You might get headache on 3-4 days. Your body will be adjusting and protest, asking for sugar. Headache will go away. You will be losing about 1 lb a day. For first few days, then it will slow down for few days and then will pick up again. Everybody is different, but few of my friends and I were experienced pretty much the same pattern.

Day 1:
Breakfast: 1 Cup of Black Coffee (no sugar, no milk, no sugar substitute)
Lunch: 2 hard-boiled eggs, boiled cabbage (I just boil it for a minute for crunchy result) with a little bit of olive oil. I glass of tomato juice (for best result get one without salt, but I did salty ones also)
Dinner: Large baked, grilled, broiled, fried in olive oil or boiled fish. ( I used microwave also few times for speed) Seared tuna, baked salmon, fried tilapia, or boiled trout. Or any fish you like. It does not have to be really large, but if you want you can eat fairly large portion.

Day 2:
Breakfast: 1 Cup of Black Coffee (no sugar, no milk, no sugar substitute) + 1 whole wheat toast, or whole multigrain crackers (about the same amount as a 1 toast)
Lunch: Large fish ( same as a first day dinner) + salad made with cabbage with tiny little bit of olive oil
Dinner: Half a pound of boiled or broiled or grilled lean beef (I also grilled hamburger) + 1 glass of Plain Kefir (drinkable yogurt, you can find in Giant, Whole foods or Trader Joes)


Day 3:
Breakfast: 1 Cup of Black Coffee (no sugar, no milk, no sugar substitute) + 1 whole wheat toast, or whole multigrain crackers (about the same amount as a 1 toast)
Lunch: Fried in a little oil zucchini. 2 apples (you can eat 1 apple if you cannot fit in 2)
Dinner: 2 hard-boiled eggs( I substitute sometimes for not too hard-boiled…) Half a pound of boiled or broiled or grilled lean beef + cabbage salad with no dressing.



Day 4:
Breakfast: 1 Cup of Black Coffee (no sugar, no milk, no sugar substitute)
Lunch: 2 apples. 3 large boiled carrots ( I boiled those just a little bit to have crunchy carrots) with a little bit of olive oil. 1 thin slice of hard cheese.
Dinner: 1 banana, 1 apple, ½ grapefruit, 1 clementine or mandarin.

Day 5:
Breakfast: 1 Cup of shredded carrots with lemon juice
Lunch: Large fish ( same as a first day dinner) + salad made with cabbage with tiny little bit of olive oil + 1 glass of tomato juice
Dinner: 1 banana, 1 pear, 1 kiwi, ½ grapefruit


Day 6:
Breakfast: 1 Cup of Black Coffee (no sugar, no milk, no sugar substitute)
Lunch: ½ boiled or grilled chicken, salad made with carrots and cabbage ( no dressing)
Dinner: 2 hard-boiled eggs, 1 cap of shredded carrots with a little bit of oil

Day 7:
Breakfast: 1 Cup of black tea (no sugar, no milk, no sugar substitute)
Lunch: ½ of beef broiled, boiled or grilled + fruits
Dinner: choose any dinner from this diet except dinner from 3rd day

Continue with Day 6, Day 5, Day 4, Day 3, Day 2, Day 1


After this diet you might gain 2 Lb back, since you didn't eat any salt, you will gain some weight back with water once you start eating salt again. Also be careful while getting out of this diet: if you start eating sweets, or smoked, or marinated staff harsh to you stomach, you might get sick I did.. once.. After 2 weeks of cabbage, smoked sausage didn't go too well. Take it slow.

Cabbage soup diet
Somebody in Russia introduced me to this diet. It works, But it is really hard to stick to it.
You will need:
1 Small white or green cabbage
1 head of celery
1 bunch of fresh parsley
1 medium onion
1 bell pepper
1 large (not huge) pot.
Peel onion and cut it in half. Separate couple of stalks from celery and cut it in few large pieces. Seed bell pepper, cut into in 4. Put onion, celery and pepper into pot. Feel the pot with cold water, cover, or partially cover it and set it to boil on high. As soon as it is boiling set on medium. Boil for about an hour. You can add some spice and hint of salt, if you completely cannot live without last. For better result skip the salt.
Slice cabbage
Chop parsley
And chop the rest of celery.
After an hour, pool the all veggies out of broth. Bring broth to boil on high. Add cabbage and celery. Bring it to boil again, the turn off heat. Add parsley. Cover.
You can eat only this soup as much as you like. Nothing else. And drink water of course. This works. I went from size 18+ to size 12 on this diet.
